I can't put my finger on it but for some reason that bass does not do it for me. I had a Fender Japan two tone with Maple Neck and Gold Pickguard that I really loved, this is a custom shop but did not have the Wow factor for me but not sure why.

$295 shipping? Seems a bit pricey.

Same for me.

There’s something just not quite right with it but I can’t tell what exactly.

Maybe it’s the absence of relicing, maybe the fact that the back plate is not engraved with the custom shop logo (maybe older ones didn’t have that), but something doesn’t do it for me.

I think the neck is too light in color. More pronounced grain in the body would help.

Seems to be a lush closet classic or a closet classic version
http://www.fendercustomshop.com/series/time-machine/

That’s why it has light spots on the neck.
Plate without custom shop logo is correct. My telecaster relic also has no logo on the plate and an Rxxx serial.
Seems to be all correct here but I agree a relic version would look much much better
