I had a Vantage as a back up bass back in the day. It's a great bass for the price.

If it's an MIJ model, then this would be a very good underrated bass. (This looks to be). I'm not sure how you can tell the MIJs from the later Samick models though.

The knob layout probably makes it a VP-795B. The big V-logo rather than a smaller Vantage logo makes it post-1980. Probably 1981, so definitely Matsumoku-era. The Samick-era instruments have a more modern logo.

It may look like a neck-through model, but actually has a 3-piece maple set neck, like some Aria's had as well.
