Looks like there's a logo or the remnants of one. Pic is super fuzzy but I see a little something there. It's super cool. I bet it's an old Teisco or one of those older Japanese brands.

Here's mine. On the headstock of mine, you can see the oval glue outline where the badge used to be. It's almost certainly made in Matsumoku, and could have been branded either Teisco or any number of other generic names, though I don't recall ever seeing an oval Teisco badge.

Both of these basses have had the bridge replaced with a completely different model - the original was completely unworkable. You can see the screw holes, it had a huge plate underneath it for not apparent reason.

I had the second original knob but it broke when I dropped the bass, I'll never forgive myself :cry:
