Didn't know these came in natural finish, but then again, I don't know much about Hot Rod P's!

I have one just like it and I paid 750.00 for mine. I put a Tone Styler in it and it's a killer bass.

What do you think about the ToneStyler?

I love it! I'd have one in every passive bass I own if it weren't for the vintage value crap. I have one in my 78 P and that Hot Rod P, amazing tonal variety. Full, thick, punchy BOOM to edgy clank and everything in between. Well worth the 100.00 bucks imho. I'd love to put one in my Telecaster Bass, but it's all orginial... I still may do it, that mudbucker would have a whole new lease on life!

I know I've heard of a tonestyler before ( I think even from you Chuck), but remind me again what it is?

It replaces the tone pot in a passive bass. The bass one has a bunch of different capacitor values. Here's the link, they started with a guitar version first then the bass model. I really like having a tone knob that is more than an on or off switch for the highs. I love mine.

Just the bass page...
