Im looking for a couple of parts for a 77 Rickenbacker. I need a bridge mounting knob as someone in the past lost it and replaced it with a screw (circled in yellow) and the 3 position pickup switch and a bridge pickup cover.

http://www.pickofthericks.com/ used to be a good source for parts. Or you could try contacting the factory, they used to sell parts, but I don't know if they still do. |

Yep pick of the ricks is pretty good, and you could also try North Coast Music. |

Yes, POTR is a good source for parts. RickySounds (http://www.rickysounds.co.uk) in England is pretty good, too - they even have the hairpin trussrods for 4001s. And, yes, RIC does sell parts. In the "Boutique" section of their website. As for the bridge pickup cover? To the best of my knowledge, that "cover" has always been plastic. The metal one you're probably thinking of wasn't a cover; that was the actual "Horseshoe" pickup that the plastic cover is intended to imitate. RIC sells the plastic covers (and yes, the 4003 cover fits a 4001), and also sells a replica version of the pickup; but they're usually out of them, and... they aren't exactly cheap, either. I have one, along with a toaster neck pickup; they'll probably go in my '73 4001, one of these days... Good luck with your restoration! |

Thanks guys for all the help I did manage to get 4 bridge nuts and with the help of Paulo I just scored all the parts on the body except the bridge but including all pickups and surrounds and covers, pots and wiring for a guy that did something to a 4003 and replaced all of it and I got it all for $90. This is the current state of my rick. One side of the body has to come off and be cleaned and glued back. Then i got to repaint it. It's a 77 and was originally black but I'd like to paint it a green if it would suit. Just not sure of the color yet.
