Hi guys, I have some serious Jazz GAS going on. It's terminal. I have a deal in the works, but it is only a possibility. If it doesn't pan out, I will probably pull the trigger on a new G&L JB or Fender ADE. But, before I do, I figure I might as well see if someone has something in the closet jazz that he just hasn't got around to listing yet. I would like something at least as well-built as an American Fender, with a maple fretboard and not a 3-tone burst. Passive is preferred, but active may be okay, as long as has "that jazz tone." I miss "that jazz tone" so much. You know that super-aggressive makes a Warwick and a Stingray pee its pants tone I am referring to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqTxhvwaSPk#t=3m42s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y99TYueeFek#t=2m35s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=my6bfA14vMQ |

Thanks for asking! I had put a deposit down on a G&L JB, but the dealer just told this morning that G&L does not currently offer the JB in lefty! So, I am starting from scratch. I have me eye on the Marleaux Consat for sale: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6627 I have heard the term "jazz bass on steroids." Anything that matches that description should do me well. |

Bummer about the G&L! That Marleaux does look sweet. |
