Yep, I had an RD Artist back in high school, it was my first quality bass. Loved that thing and if it had been a lefty I'd still own it. The fact that it weighed almost 14 pounds not withstanding.

http://www.nationwideguitars.com/1978gi ... asssb.html I had a black righty that I flipped back in the late seventies . It was a killer sounding bass ,pretty heavy (about 12 lbs) and was fairly comfortable to play in the standing position even being a flipped righty.
