Hey all,

I'm looking for a sunburst jazz/precision bass. I'm on a 350 budget but ill go as far as 400 shipping included to canada for the right bass. Other colours welcome! Maybe even a G&L. not really looking for Squiers, just Fenders or Warmoth builds. You can PM me here or directly email me at rahulnandal@me.com

Thanks!

If you're only looking for Fender or G&L you'll more than likely have to at least double your budget... triple it for something decent.

The cheapest Fender PJ bass I've seen sell recently was a Fender Hot Rodded PJ for like $900 + shipping.

I should have specified that I was looking for an MIM... i guess i thought that would go without saying when it came to my 350 price point.

Dude you can find MIMs on eBay pretty frequently. Seems they're always up there when I look. Good luck :)

But Fender has never made a lefty MIM Precision.

man ebay is really against canadians nowadays. they have included this handling and customs tax fee already included into the price. its a problem because sometimes you could ask the buyer to mark it as gift or mark down the price for customs so you wouldn't have to pay so much. whenever i buy stuff from the states the package usually slips through and i don't end up paying anything. yeah i might sound like i'm complaining but the tax is usually around 25 percent plus a ridiculous handling fee. its worth looking elsewhere.

by the way MIM precisions do exist. i just looked on the fender website and strangely enough they arent there....but i've contacted my local guitar centre about two or three weeks ago and they are able to order me a black lefty mim p-bass for roughly 650.

edit: just googled it. mim precisions are hard to find it seems like they discontinued it a few years ago. shows how much my local guitar centre knows

I thought you were looking for a P/J bass... :?:

Even if you did find a MIM Precision (I've never heard of them), it wouldn't have a J pickup in it anyway.

I had no idea there was an Ebay conspiracy against Canadians!
Your only lefty option for that price is a used Warmoth or a Schecter model T. And your dealer is talking about a MIM Jazz Bass not a PBass. Tell him to check again. Fender has never made a MIM P or PJ bass.

I'd say, get a SX, change hardware and electronic and you're ready to rock.

If I were you I'd buy this. Corts are pretty decent instruments. And it is in Canada.
