Hey peoples! Just wondered if anyone had a used Seymour Duncan STC-3M3 3 knob Music Man preamp hanging around that they may want to sell? Give me a shout if so! Cheers, Jamie |

I don't have one for sale but I just wanted to chime in and say that I love mine. Just out one in my 'Ray a month or so ago. It's a huge improvement. |

that's great to know! i just got my cheapy 'Maestro' Chinese MM copy back from my luthier guy, he sorted the nut, fret ends, changed the pickup out for a Warman and put in a cheap Chinese 'ebay special' preamp in it. it plays great now but the only improvement he said would be the pre, apparently the pup is great! he has an STC-3M3 in one of his basses and he loves it and reckoned the clone would sound pretty close if i put one in it, so fingers crossed! |

Yeah, of course I don't know what your experience with Stingrays is, but the SD preamp retains the signature sound but there's more 'ass' to it. And it takes care of the famous "weak G string" issue. I'm so glad I fried my stock pre in my Ray. Haha |
