Went to the lefty link, and they have a great selection of lefty basses! Kudos to them for taking the time to stock a good selection... or, there's a whole lot of down-and-out lefty bass players in that area that have thrown in the musical towel!
This store has been around for decades and they always have catered to lefties. I'm guessing they go to a lot of guitar shows and buy many of their lefties there. To give you an example, I bought my '82 Jazz Bass, a 1992 Fodera Monarch Deluxe (which I regret selling very much), and a few StingRay, including a rare fretless 5-string. They had a 1971 P-Bass years ago that was in mint condition, but I never got that one. . .
Although, they haven't had more rarities like they used to - and will, can't blame them, as they are hard to come by. Their prices are hit or miss - I think I got fair prices on mine. They are a bit difficult to deal with when it comes to shipping outside the US, and last time I bought something from them they still didn't accept credit cards! Cash or money orders only! Hard to understand how they did business, but I'm pretty sure they do accept credit cards now. Andrew had a similar negative experience with them when trying to buy a bass from Canada. . .
But for what it's worth, they make a real effort to have some lefties in stock, and like Martha Stewart would say, "That's a good thing!"
