I'm looking for two G&L basses that I used to have and hoping someone here may have it or know who does (and hopefully their interested in selling!). One was a pearl white G&L SB-1 w maple neck and tort guard. The other was an SB-1 with rosewood neck, gold metal flake color and MOP pick guard. I really miss these basses and would love to get them back. Thanks!

Are you able to post pictures, or do you have the serial numbers-any other identifying traits?

Off hand I do not have pics or serial#. I'll try and dig something up. I'm thinking there's not too many lefty pearl white/ tort and maple neck sb1's out there. Even fewer if any gold metal flake/ mother of pearl ones. The white was ordered in the fall of 2010 from bass central. The gold one is about 14 years old now and was last seen in Austin, tx

Didn't a gold metal flake G+L get sold on here?

A white one matching your description sold on eBay just over a year ago:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/G-L-SB-1-left-h ... 500wt_1357
Seller information is visible, but buyer information isn't but you might be able to get a hold of the current owner through the seller!

Haven't seen a gold metal flake SB-1 on here, but I did remember a similar LB-100 being sold on this board (although I'm assuming it's not the same bass. No rosewood neck either):

I sold that G&L through the board. Can't imagine another lefty with that color combo!

I've got a 1988 SB-1, but rosewood neck, redburst. Really nice bass, but I hardly play it anymore. If you really, really need one, contact me.

Thanks for the replies. That gold sparkle/ maple neck looks very similar to the one I had with a rosewood neck. Great looking bass. I'd have taken that off your hands if I'd seen it.

Please send me some pics of your red burst. I might be interested.
