They're pretty hard to find. I owned a white one a few years back with a Fralin and threaded saddles installed.
The neck was fantastc with a nut width of 1 9/16" slightly narrower then the usual P Bass

I suggest you search some of the Japanese dealers websites. They occasionally turn up there more than in the US

They'll pop up from time to time on ebay, usually by a Japanese seller, you'll buy it, then you'll get a message apologizing and offering a refund because they already sold it. Happened to me twice already. So my suggestion is steer clear of any Jap sellers on ebay claiming to have one for sale, because they're usually full of shit.

Good to know. I've wondered why I'll see the same bass listed by multiple sellers swapping the cost and shipping g cost

You could also contact my friend Albert Molinaro at Elite Guitars
He has a lot of connections and could help steer you in the right direction
Tell him Pete Farley from NJ sent you. Good Luck

Mike and Mike's Guitar Bar in Seattle also stocks a lot of MIJ Fenders.
They're good guys and bring a lot of MIJ'S in on a regular basis
