I've got a 2000 fender hot rod in sunset orange over one-piece ash. All stock in excellent condition (not mint - 1 small ding on the neck)

Looking for 2009 or later P bass, black. I'm willing to include cash depending on conditions of basses.

Thanks.

You'd think so, but the only bass I prefer in black is the Stingray.

I don't prefer my new American Standard to be black - it happens to be my second-least favorite standard color for P-Bass. :D

Yep! That's why I jumped on the RED 1994 Am Std sold by fellow board member Cavernplayer. Put some TI's on it and it sounds wonderful. Incredibly woody. I must say that those TI's are the bomb, they sound good right of the box whereas other flats need to age before sounding good. Well worth the investment. If you want to give it a try you are welcome to stop by my place any time.
I have the bass in my hands as I speak (I stayed home after getting my wisdom teeth removed). They say get some rest but I play bass instead... I believe in the healing power of music ;)

I totally agree with you on those mid-90's P-bass necks. Nothing better. I ordered a Parchment pickguard which will fit perfect with the candy apple red.
